Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I recently got engaged. On October 28, I popped the question to Kelly, my girlfriend of almost 3 years.
We started the night off at one of our favorite places to eat, Cafe Fresco. Afterwards we walked up 2nd street to Market Square in front of the Hilton and proposed. This was one of the first places we hung out after we met (just happened to be on New Year’s Eve) so the location had a special place for us.
Afterwards, we celebrated with a few glasses of champagne at Max’s.
So between all the planning, parties, meetings, calling venues, emailing caterers, and trying to set a date, I’ve been pretty busy and the blog suffers. I do have a list of places I’d like to report on in the upcoming weeks so keep an eye out.
Speaking of New Year’s Eve, the city did recently announce sponsorship for the celebration at the end of this year. I’m hoping we’ll be able to make it downtown again for the fireworks and one heck of a party.
