Interesting, as I was just talking to someone about this yesterday. “Remember when we lived in Harrisburg and they had that Brewer’s Fest? That should be coming up soon…”

Looks like it was a decent turnout this year. I laughed at the tiny, tiny mugs, though LOL Yes they have run out in year’s past but come on! I would imagine those tiny mugs encouraged even more drinking and more trips to the brewers.

And the song playing in the background could be a decent song w/ a different singer…I’m not trying to be rude here, but I was not feeling his voice at all.

The tiny mugs are for a purpose. Legally, you can’t give away more than 4oz, I believe, at one time. Real beer aficionados aren’t there to get shitfaced, anyway. It’s about sampling and learning about microbrews. It’s not supposed to be a giant outdoor frat party, and I would say that it is a minority of people who treat it that way.

And for the record, it’s been a decent turnout EVERY year.

The last one I was at was in ‘05 and you had full-sized plastic mugs; I still have them actually, and I am guessing they are about 12 oz. in size. I don’t think there is any legal reason for the tiny mugs since you paid to get into the event and must be of age to drink, I just think it is a cheaper way to go…just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Hooray! :)

Yes, I was at one with larger mugs as well, but there is, in fact, a law. I’ll see if I can find it.

They purchased smaller mugs because breweries didn’t follow suit in only filling them a certain amount.
