Well, I heard about this new project last week and I’m glad we finally get some good hard info about it– and quickly thanks to Sara.
She reported in her column that a previous manager of Ceoltas will be remodeling the former Epic Bar and Grille near the train station into a new multi-level bar and nightspot. It’s actually open now under it’s new name, but according to the article, will be closed in January for renovations.

I’m really starting to love how the little area, which I call SoMa (South Market), is developing. With Bricco, El Sol and now Tara Station, it gives people a good reason to check out another part of town once in a while. I realize it’s not south of Market St., but
add the Gingerbread Man, Whitaker Center, and the Susquehanna Art Museum and we have a hip little entertainment/theater district emerging.
In fact, It would be really cool to see an art museum become a place to hangout. I check out Mantis every once in a while to see the new shows of the month, but I’m always reminded of a cool spot from San Francisco called the Minna Gallery. Minna is actually a bar inside an art gallery. Either way, something like this would be a great fit for the SoMa district in Harrisburg, around North St, or Midtown.
I still haven’t heard anything more on a new Indian restaurant/nightclub planned for near this area either.
